Board of Directors

Denise Vestman, President

While raising 5 children, Denise and her husband owned Vestman Construction where she worked as secretary and bookkeeper for 23 years. She has owned and operated a catering business specializing in providing hot lunches in private schools. She served on the Board of Trustees for the Washington State School for the Blind for 4 years which her son, an ITA member, attended. Denise still participates with several Kitsap charity organizations and is the recipient of multiple awards for her volunteerism in the North Kitsap School District. She and her family live in Poulsbo.

Sarah Brandt-Erichsen, Secretary

Sarah is a parent caregiver and recreational farmer. From a background in government affairs and issues advocacy, she has years of experience in nonprofit work, focusing the last 20 participating in multiple island organizations and the Bainbridge Island School District. Her volunteerism has focused primarily on childhood education/recreation and special needs accessibility. Sarah lives with her family and furry friends on Bainbridge Island.

Sheridan Ley-Mackey, Treasurer

Sheri is the mother of an ITA member and local attorney. She provides legal services to families of individuals with developmental and other disabilities.  Additionally she and her husband co-own Kimo Mackey Design, an underwater ship propeller engineering business.  As one of the founders of the Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation, she has advocated on behalf of disabled students and citizens with the Bainbridge Island School District and City of Bainbridge Island.  Her years of volunteerism include serving on the Port Madison Water Company Board and running the sailing program at the Pt. Madison Yacht Club. She and her family have lived in Port Madison on Bainbridge Island for 31 years. .

Lynn Allee

Lynn is a retired Bainbridge Island School District (BISD) public school teacher who primarily taught children with intellectually disabilities.  Her adult daughter has autism and developmental delays.  They have been a part of the ITA family for many years. Lynn feels strongly about the importance of having supportive programs for adults with I/DD.  She has lived in Kingston for 2 years, prior to which she resided on Bainbridge Island for 12 years.

Sarah Fisken

Sarah is a Marine Operations Specialist for Washington Sea Grant at the University of Washington. Her current volunteer positions include the BI Swim Team Board, the Jefferson County Marine Resource Committee and the Wooden Boat School Program Advisory Committee.  Through the experience of lifelong relationships, the mission of ITA is one Sarah is dedicated to supporting.

Pat Callahan

Pat is CEO of Urban Renaissance Group. He recently served on the Bainbridge Island Affordable Housing Task Force. He is active in the Kitsap Community Foundation.  Current volunteer positions include Board positions at Forterra, Urban Land Institute and the Downtown Seattle Association. Pat is inspired to serve on the ITA Board by his daughter and her close friends. He and his family have made their home on Bainbridge for 18 years.

Doug Leonard

Doug is the Branch Manager of Union Bank on Bainbridge Island. Prior to moving to Washington State, he lived in Southern California where he served on the Orange County Self Help Center (OCSHC) Board from 1999- 2016. He became familiar with ITA through members visiting his bank. He feels a strong commitment to use his experience to help grow ITA as a way to give back to thegreater community.He has made his home in Bremerton since 2016.

Holly Patton, M. Ed., Co-Founder of Island Time Activities
Holly is a co-founder of Island Time Activities and works as a Special Educator for the Central Kitsap School District.

 

Rebecca Rockefeller                                                                                            

Rebecca is the former Executive Director and Development Director of Island Time Activities. She is a long time island resident and co-founder of the internationally acclaimed Buy Nothing Project.
