Communication

We at Island Time Activities know that communication is the key for all of us to express ourselves, regardless of our skills or styles. Everyone has fully developed personalities, keen perceptions of the world, and their own hopes and dreams. Non-verbal people are able to communicate fully with adaptations and body language.  Our staff communicates in a variety of ways to understand our members, advocate for them, and empower them with just the right amount of support to advance growth and the development of new skills. We are proud to accommodate a growing number of Kitsap residents who have both intellectual disabilities and some medical or mobility needs that require close observation, and communication and coordination with other caregivers.
