ITA sets itself apart by offering individualized programming for each of our members, since everyone has their own unique reasons for being here. We measure our members’ progress using Personal Goal Plans (PGPs) tracking each members’ goals in seven different growth areas: Communication, Community, Continued Education, Health, Leisure, Relationships, and Work.
Our staff pays close attention to individual needs and goals; this is facilitated, measured, and tracked through regular updates and assessments of goals. Achieved goals are recognized; new goals are set and new strategies are implemented to continue progress toward unmet goals. Whether a member’s goal is expanding math and reading skills, learning to play guitar, memorizing the entire Michael Jackson song catalog, learning to paint with watercolors, setting up a personal Etsy site for art, or learning specific job skills, we help our members see success and accept failure.
